Selection Process: All-State

The ISCA holds meetings in each of the six districts throughout the state on Sunday following Sectional Championships, October 19th for 2008. All member coaches of record (membership deadline for 2008: October 1st) are invited to attend their district meeting. Coaches nominate players by submitting player profiles online in advance of the meeting, October 9th, 2008, and only those players' names appear on the District Ballot.

Every member coach in attendance at the District meeting will have the opportunity to present and promote any players from their roster who are listed on the District Ballot. Each District selects 18 First Team and 12 Second Team players. Freshmen and sophomore players are eligible to make the District team and be on the All-State ballot.

The All-State Committee consists of 4 voters from each district. The coaches at the District meetings select the voters. The District Coaches Representative (DCR) is one of the four and the top vote getter in the election becomes the Assistant DCR and will assume the duties of the DCR the following year. Two additional coaches are elected to the committee, each serving a one-year term.

On Saturday evening following completion of the Showcase games, the All-State Committee convenes to select the teams and awards for both boys and girls. The selection list includes:
