Open Coaching Positions

Lawrence North High School is looking for applicants with a strong background in soccer for the head coaching position of the boy’s team. The Wildcats have been sectional finalists 2 of the last three years. Lawrence North has an enrollment of approximately 2700 students and is a member of the MIC conference, one of the most athletic and academic conferences in the state. LN has a soccer stadium on campus and three soccer fields. A brand new outdoor locker room and meeting facility opened in the fall of 2017.

Previous coaching and playing experience is required. This position involves building positive relationships with student-athletes and teaching life lessons through the sport of soccer. The head soccer coach will prepare and implement practice and match plans. The coach will supervise, instruct, and advise athletes during practices and matches stressing teamwork, competitiveness and sportsmanship. The coach will be expected to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school personnel. The high school coaching staff will be expected to be involved in the development of the sport of soccer at the middle school level and feeder systems in the Lawrence Community. A teaching position may be available depending upon certification area.

Boys Soccer Head Coach — Beginning Fall 2021

University High School of Indiana seeks a dynamic individual to be the head boys soccer coach beginning with the fall 2021 season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coaching soccer at the high school level and a desire to collaborate with the athletics staff on the soccer program.

Athletics are an integral part of the total educational program at University High School, and each year more than 70 percent of students participate in at least one sport at UHS. Our no-cut IHSAA athletics program strives to provide a growth experience for new players as well as college-bound athletes.

 

Candidates must be able to commit to hours of after-school practice as well as evening and weekend games, and they must have strong communication and organizational skills. Head coaches at University High School are responsible for all tasks related to their program, including planning, implementing, and assessing a soccer program that fits the school’s mission to expand the hearts and minds of its students through academic, creative, and physical achievement. Head coaches have a lead role in selecting and managing their staff.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to coach soccer at all levels of student experience, from new players to prospective college athletes, required
  • Coaching experience at the high school level strongly preferred
  • Commitment to the school’s core values of diversity, excellence, personal responsibility, stewardship, creativity, and mutual respect, support, and trust required
  • Background check and current authorization to be employed in the U.S. required
